“And There You’ll Be” is one of my favourite paintings out of hundreds I have painted. There was such ease and calmness I felt while creating it, and the finished piece evokes so much feeling for me. I gave it the title “And There You’ll Be” as I felt like it represents my relationship with creativity and a loved one of sorts. Almost like knowing that you’ll always have someone there in your life when you need them even if they are not physically present. It has a very magical, hopeful, calming presence. It is not a palette I would typically choose with so much red and blue and neutrals, but it works. Even as a print, there is something about this painting that gives it a presence that I cannot otherwise describe in words. It’s a feeling.
