This piece is all acrylic paint, however I painted it with a watercolour technique. “Buds in Bouquets” is a play on words with combining friendship (birds as “buds”) and also floral buds in the bouquet. I don’t make the birds “chubby “ on purpose, but it seems they are called “chubby” by my art lovers… and from hereon, I will likely continue to paint “chubby birds”. This painting brings so much colour and joy to a quiet wall, yet the blank space allows for rest and calm amongst the bright bold image.
