I painted this piece during lockdown, and I remember the joy and calm I felt while painting it. It reminded me of an abstract interior space, and the title came so easily , “On the Interior, Let’s Thrive”. I love plays on words and I was thinking about the importance of mental health (our interior) while in lockdown (isolation), and the benefits of creativity and how I thrive on it. It also represents the importance of keeping a cozy interior space that you love. Taking pride in your space no matter how small.
