"Planting Seeds of Lemonade" is a calming and joyful piece that makes me think of art and creativity as planting inspiration and ideas of sharing joy. There is that known phrase that “when life gives you lemons… make lemonade”…. When things go sour or become challenging, the importance of staying positive and spreading positivity through art , via colours and mark making. A lemon had just appeared in this abstract intuitive piece, and I emphasized it as I was deciding to finish the painting. The little planter pots appeared in my exploration of newer shapes….There is a contagious energy to this piece, yet it is calming, light and joyful, and represents the very reason I paint daily… my relationship with creativity.
