Inspiration of “Sandy Beaches of the North Shore” stems from my trips to the beautiful garden island of Kauai. I fell in love with the Island , specifically Hanalai Bay, North Shore, when I’d attended my friend’s wedding there, and returned for a solo surfing trip as well as my honeymoon. This painting was very intuitive, and when I decided it was finished, it reminded me of the gorgeous tropical flowers and colours of the Island, as well as, an ariel view of sand and water…
